Indoor ambient conditions and outdoor weather conditions can change very rapidly at remote sites, and keeping tabs on these conditions is crucial for uninterrupted site operations. Changing conditions can, if not compensated for, create significant damage to the site equipment and installations. Whether it be temperature, humidity, water intrusion, ice or the presence of an approaching lightning storm, environmental sensors provide critical information to give you total situational awareness.

USEFUL SENSOR
DAVICOM DIGITAL TEMPERATURE PROBE INTERFACE (DTPI)
Davicom’s 4-input DTPI can be used to measure temperatures and temperature differentials to autonomously take advantage of cooler outdoor air to save on A/C costs. Broadcast and Two-Way radio transmission sites can therefore see their HVAC electrical costs decrease significantly. Temperatures of critical site equipment such as generators, UPS’s, batteries, pumps and computer racks can all be closely monitored and managed thanks to the DTPI’s sensors.

USEFUL FEATURE
LOGS &
TREND METERS
Davicom units have several internal logs to keep track of both system events and configuration changes. Custom logs allow users to focus-in on specific inputs and keep track of events or take readings as frequently as every second. These data-logs can be stored locally on the unit, or on a large-capacity Memory stick connected to the unit’s USB port. This data can then be used to produce trend-graphs directly on the unit. They can also be remotely downloaded, or simply physically collected during a regular site visit.

USEFUL FEATURE
CONFIGURABLE GPIO
The Davicom Cortex unit’s Inputs and Outputs are fully configurable to accommodate most operational requirements. From wide input range bipolar differential inputs, to variable pulse-length Form C relay outputs, everything is covered. Linearization compensation curves allow use of practically any type of sensor or transducer. Alarm thresholds, hysteresis, delays, filtering and active states are all fully user-configurable.
