Davicom remote monitoring systems can be deployed in small as well as in larger networks comprised of hundreds of transmission sites. The units may be networked and connected to a NOC (Network Operation Center) for global monitoring of transmission sites.

How can Digital Audio Signals be Monitored and Controlled?
Davicom’s AES/EBU Audio Detector Switcher (DADS-01) is designed to be used as an automatic or manual switch for AES/EBU digital audio signals. It offers all the necessary inputs and outputs so it can be controlled and monitored by other equipment such as Davicom’s monitoring and control units (RTU). It can also be used as a standalone device.
The DADS-01 has sophisticated digital audio level detection algorithms that enable thresholds with delays to be programmed on its 2 digital input sources. Automatic switching can then be performed upon loss of the digital signal on an input. A third, analog input, can be used as a final fall-back option.
What is a Broadcast Remote Management System?
Remote management refers to monitoring, control and operation of electronic or electromechanical equipment located at a remote site from the operator. For larger networks, the operator can be at a central site called the NOC, or Network Operation Center. Remote management applications are almost limitless. At the core of the remote management process is the Remote Telemetry Unit (RTU), a device with communication, measurement and control capabilities.
The RTU is usually installed at each site where monitoring, reporting and control is required. It collects all relevant data from other equipment, analyzes it, performs actions based on specific rules defined by the user and sends alarms to the NOC or to the user.
