MEXM-1

Using 8 MEXM-1 units together has the power to add:
192 additional Metering inputs to your Davicom Cortex unit
192 additional Status inputs to your Davicom Cortex unit

192 additional Relay outputs to your Davicom Cortex unit

Please refer to the second and third tables for the relevant maximums with the DV-200 units.

For example, adding a single MEXM-1 to a Cortex 360 provides a total of 32 metering inputs, 40 status inputs, and 32 relay outputs. These extra I/O’s are directly integrated into the Cortex’s control structure, therefore taking full advantage of the unit’s powerful control, monitoring, and automation functions.

For better control and faster response time, all the inputs and outputs of the MEXM-1 are scanned up to 10 times per second (10 Hz).

For use with a Cortex unit, we recommend that you download the latest firmware now.

For use with a DV-200 unit, firmware version 5.52 or later is required in your control unit.

Both files can be found here after creating an account on dex.davicom.com. A user account is required for downloads.

MEXM-2

Adding a single MEXM-2 with its 64 status inputs to a Cortex 360 yields a total of 80 Status inputs in a cost-effective package. These extra inputs are directly integrated into the Cortex’s control structure, therefore taking full advantage of the unit’s powerful control, monitoring, and automation functions. You may mix MEXM-2 units with MEXM-1 units in order to create the customized I/O solution that perfectly meets your project’s needs.

* The maximum number of usable I/O’s from any MEXM combination is determined by a combination of Modbus protocol limitations, the Davicom unit firmware and the number of MEXM units used. In Modbus RTU mode, a total of 7 MEXM units can be used. Contact us to discuss your unique project needs.

** The I/O figures shown here are when MEXM-1 units are combined with MEXM-2 units for a total of 8 units.
