The worldwide parts shortage in the electronics industry is applying tremendous inflationary pressure on our raw-material prices. Besides electronics parts, prices are climbing on wire and cable, connectors, sheet metal and even solder. There have been cases where we have been subjected to retroactive price changing, where parts ordered well in advance, at an agreed-upon price, are only delivered if we agree to pay a higher price than originally expected. The alternative offered is to cancel the order.
Rest assured that we will never subject our customers to such practices.
We understand that the situation is difficult, and we wish to do our part by trying to minimize inflationary pressures on our customers. It is therefore in this context that we have prepared our new 2022 price list. We will try to maintain this pricing for as long as possible, hopefully until early 2023, but we cannot make that promise, given the present supply-chain situation.
